Title [In Kanji] : デジモンフロンテイヤ

This is a story of five normal kids, namely Kanbara Takuya, Orimoto Izumi, Shibayama Junpei, Himi Tomoki, and Minamoto Kouji. Upon receiving an SMS message from an unknown person (later known as Ophanimon), they immediately took a ride on a train (as what the message states) hoping that this might be the answer to their life's toughest questions. Not knowing that this train would serve as their pathway for them to enter a whole new dimension-the digiworld.

Upon their arrival, these children met two digimon [these are the creatures that live in the digiworld], namely Bokomon and Neemon. Through these digimon, they found out the said dimension, and their task as the digidestineds, the ones that are destined to save the digiworld.

As digidestineds, each and every of them are required to have these so called digi-spirit which can be seen in two forms, the human and the beast. The spirit allows them to transform into a powerful digimon, each has its own element. They later received these one by one as the story continues.

Honestly, it's been such a long time since I've seen this anime (less than 3 years) and I desperately want to watch it again!! Among all Digimon seasons, this is the season which I love the most! How come? This is the season that lead me into fandom for Digimon. [I am a Digimon hater BEFORE.] It does have a different storyline than the past seasons since the main characters don't have their own partner Digimon. Another thing that made them different is that they, the digidestineds, are the ones transforming into Digimon, unlike the rest Digimon seasons. However that made the story more interesting. Most of you might not agree but in my opinion DIGIMON FRONTIER is the best. I only hope that there's another shoujo lone wolf out there *like Ruki Makino from Tamers* which can be partnered at Koiji . I hate IZUMI, actually.

Title [In Kanji] : スパイラル―推理の絆

Ayumu Narumi's older brother Kiyotaka, a famous detective and pianist, disappears without a trace. The only clue as to his whereabouts is the "Blade Children", the only words Ayumu managed to catch in a final phone call from Kiyotaka. Two years later, a row of murders and incidents begin, all related to the Blade Children. Together with the infamous (and only) school journalist, Hiyono Yuizaki, Ayumu tries to figure out their destiny and the mystery shrouding their past. (Wikipedia)

Spiral is a shonen type anime which focuses on mysteries and crimes - a detective-based anime. It contains a total of 15 manga volumes and 25 tv episodes. One thing that you'll love on this anime is the animation - it's really great, especially in the manga [I have finished reading it's 2nd volume *only!*]. The cases are good - but not as mind boggling as the well-known Detective Conan and Detective School Q series. I was hoping that I could find a real manga of this anime since downloading it makes me nuts!! (If you're a citizen from the Philippines and know where to buy it's manga, please tell me okay?) that's all...hehe. I hope this anime interests you too. Spread anime!

Death Note

Title [In Kanji] : デスノート

Light Yagami is a brilliant high school student who resents crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers an mysterious notebook, known as the Death Note, lying on the ground. The Death Note's instructions claim that, if a human's name is written within it, that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the Death Note's authenticity, believing it is just a prank. However, after expecting with it and killing two criminals, Light is forced to admit that the Death Note is real. After meeting with the previous owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become the "god of the new world" by passing his judgment on criminals.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira" [derived from the English pronounciation of the English word, "Killer"], is located in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a race to prove mental superiority between the two begins.

Honestly, the story of Death note is great. It was shounen-type of anime, so romance is not dominant in the story. I believe that whoever watches this anime would like the way the police and L tracks down the clever Light, and not necessarily the way the death note works - or some sort of like that.

Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori

Rating :
Network [Japan] : Animax, MBS, Tokyo MX, Kids Station
Genre : Horror, Mystery, Psychological, Fantasy
Number of Episodes : 26
Title [In Kanji] : 地獄少女 二籠

The Jigoku Shoujo is back again on her very spectral job - exacting vengeances, sending people to hell. Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori is somewhat (or really!) the continuation of the first season. However, Hajime and his daughter are not included anymore in the story - more like "forgotten". Although there's another new character coming - a girl named Kikuri. She isn't actually an antagonist in the story...just a lil' ol' brat. What's fascinating in futakomori, is that - you'll learn the past of Hone-onna, Wanyuudou and Ichimoku Ren. *And I just can't believe that Ren was formerly a...*

Warning: there are few parts in Futakomori that are a little ecchi (just like in the first season), however, it only shows the negative way of living in Japan. (somewhat connected to vengeance, I guess)
